ADF's opposition to Section 373 of the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act following the Flight 5342 tragedy.
ADF stands firmly with the National Transportation Safety Board, the families of Flight 5342, and bipartisan congressional leaders in opposing Section 373 of the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act. This provision threatens to roll back hard-won aviation safety improvements enacted in the wake of the January 2025 midair collision near Reagan National Airport that claimed 67 lives. ADF is committed to ensuring that defense legislation does not undermine the safety standards that protect the flying public.
