ADF's response to the FAA Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Helicopter Emergency Medical Service operations.
In response to the FAA's Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Helicopter Emergency Medical Service operations, ADF submitted formal comments advocating for the inclusion of aircraft dispatchers in HEMS operational control. Helicopter EMS missions present unique safety challenges including weather, terrain, and time pressure, and ADF maintains that qualified dispatch oversight is essential to reducing the accident rate in this high-risk segment of aviation.
